FUTURCOAT POLIUREA COLD
COLD APPLICATION POLYUREA FOR WATERPROOFING AND PROTECTION
Cold application polyurea for waterproofing and protection. Two-component product that forms a continuous, elastic membrane, with excellent mechanical and adhesion properties that make it resistant to weather, extreme temperatures, and UV. and chemical agents.
• Easy application.
• Excellent adhesion.
• Adapts to any shape of roof.
• Rehabilitation avoiding demolitions or overweight.
• Easy location and repair of breaks.
• High resistance to weathering and U.V.
• Excellent resistance to extreme temperatures (-40 ºC and +80 ºC). Breaking temperature 200ºC.
• Excellent mechanical properties, high resistance to tension, breakage and abrasion.
• Great elasticity >500%.
• Resistant to permanent contact with water, hydrolysis and the action of microorganisms.
• High resistance to chemical agents.
• Once cured, the membrane is non-toxic.
• Permeable to water vapor. Allows perspiration without moisture accumulation under the membrane.
Before applying the product, check that the support is clean and free of traces of oil, grease, silicone, contaminating waxes or soil materials. If repair is needed, apply appropriate mortars. The support must be dry, without residual moisture. We recommend using a primer appropriate to the characteristics of the support.
The product is cold applied.
Mix the two containers (20 kg of component A/1 kg of component B) using a low-speed electric stirrer.
Application with a brush, roller or Graco GH833 two-component airless spray gun. For cleaning, always use FUTURSOLVENT 01.
Yield: 1.5 to 2 Kg/m2
Layer thickness: 1.4 mm
Pot-Life: 30 minutes
Touch dry: 2-3 hours
Repainting: 6-24 hours
We recommend not allowing more than 48 hours to pass between coats, in which case a primer should be used. Let dry completely before applying again. (Approx. 4 hours).
Once the two components are mixed, we recommend their total consumption.
For application in a single layer, use a notched trowel with serrations of about 3 mm and a deaerator.
For a non-slip application, add white corundum to the last layer (its granulometry varies depending on final use).
If dilution is necessary, use FUTURSOLVENT 01 in a maximum proportion of 10%.
Singular points, supports with a lot of movement, active cracks, etc. must be reinforced. We recommend reinforcement with armor (FUTUR ARMOR POLYESTER 50 GR) or putties (FUTURMASTIC PU).
Limitations:
U.V. resistance can be increased. avoiding yellowing, change in tone or chalking by applying a layer of PROTEC PU (Pigmented) or FUTURPOL T (pigmented). Stable stored in a dry place at a temperature of 5-25ºC for 12 months in unopened original packaging.
• Very useful in all types of construction companies, quick repair contracts, general masonry, community maintenance, building repair and restoration, etc.
Of application in:
• Waterproofing and protection of non-accessible roofs, limited to maintenance (Terraces, balconies and metal, aluminum or fiber-cement roofs, etc.).
• Covers with heavy protection (bridge platforms and concrete, etc.).
• Passable roofs (Terraces, balconies, etc.).
• Covered with glued coatings (bathrooms, kitchens and wet areas).
• Covered for heavy traffic (parking lots, stations, stadium stands, shopping centers, etc.).
• Retention tanks (water tanks and irrigation canals, etc.).
• Green roofs (with anti-root resistance).
• Buried and perimeter walls.
• Polyurethane or Polystyrene foam protection.
• Sealing cementitious surfaces, etc.
• Protection and encapsulation of asbestos, protecting from the migration of asbestos particles.
Supported media:
Concrete, cement, mosaic, fiber cement, tiles, acrylic and asphalt emulsion rehabilitations, Epdm, wood, rusty metal, galvanized steel, etc.
